“FROM RECOVERED TO REVIVED”

Jenerosity is for the purpose of advancing God’s kingdom.

OUR MISSION

The mission of Jenerosity Foundation is to empower people in recovery to revive and thrive.

OUR APPROACH

We provide resources and support to people in recovery to reach their optimal wellness.

We know that when people reach their optimal wellness they revive and thrive!

Optimal wellness is achieved when a person is proactively working to maintain balance in their spirit, soul and body.

Revive your Spirit

Our SPIRIT is what connects us to God.

Restore your Soul

Our SOUL is our mind, will and emotions.

Renew your Body

Our BODY is our physical vehicle that houses our spirit and soul.

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Thessalonians 5:23

AT THE JENEROSITY FOUNDATION

OUR EYES OUR OPEN TO SEE IF A PERSON IS WORKING TO CHANGE THEIR CIRCUMSTANCE OR NOT. IF THEY ARE, WE SEEK TO ENCOURAGE AND EMPOWER BY OFFERING RESOURCES AND TOOLS TO HELP THEM BUILD A SOLID FOUNDATION AND REACH OPTIMAL WELLNESS.

THE NEED

Drug and alcohol addiction is ever increasing and affecting more people everyday. Adults and children who struggle are at an increased risk of chronic health diseases, loss of school, work & family, and death due to overdose and suicide.

ACCORDING TO THE AMERICAN ADDICTION CENTERS

In 2017, an estimated 20.7 million people age 12 and older needed treatment for a sub stance use disorder. Only 4 million people received treatment, or about 19% of those who needed it.

The relapse rate for substance use disorders is estimated to be between 40% and 60%.

Addiction is considered a highly treatable dis ease, and recovery is attainable. About 10% of American adults who are at least 18 years old say they are in recovery from an alcohol or drug abuse issue.

For those who have overcome and are in recovery, Jenerosity Foundation

wants to empower them to not only stay in recovery but reach optimal wellness and fulfil their life’s purpose.

"A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed”.

Proverbs 11:25

WHAT MAKES JENEROSITY DIFFERENT?

The dictionary defines generosity as “The quality of being kind and generous”

Jenerosity is the quality of being kind and generous too, but not just to others, to yourself too! Discerning when to say no to others is not selfish, it’s self-care. You may feel less altruistic, yet you will actually end of giving more.

As the late George Carlin put it, “They tell you to adjust your oxygen mask before you help your child with his.”

MICROGRANTS

We thoughtfully and prayerfully consider and give micro-grants to individuals who are overcoming addiction and mental health issues in need of a hand up.

“I am unemployed and my son Daivion struggles with a mental disorder. I felt like a horrible mother because I couldn’t pay for his private class that supports him in building the skills he needs to keep up in his regular classes. Jenerosity Foundation saved the day through a small grant that enabled me to keep Daivion enrolled and up with his studies. I am beyond grateful, God bless Jenerosity Foundation!”

FIGHTING FOR THOSE WHO LOST THE BATTLE

Message from Founder, Jennifer Evans

I have lost dozens of friends throughout the years due to overdose and suicide. In their memory, I am committed to fighting for those still struggling that have the opportunity to overcome.

In 2018 my friend, Verne Troyer, the actor best known for playing Mini-Me in the comedy Austin Powers, lost his life due to a battle with alcoholism and depression. Verne was a very caring and genuine man. A month before his death we were communicating while he was oversees on tour in the UK. He told me he would love to help Jenerosity Foundation in our mission to empower people in recovery to reach optimal wellness. And I had know idea he was struggling. I have learned from this and the many other friends who have died from drugs, alcohol and mental health related issued that often times people around us are struggling in silence, and we have no ideas what they are battling inside.

I am out to break the stigma around mental health. I I was one of the lucky ones that has overcome addiction and mental health issues (one day at a time, and with prescription medication).

In honor of Vern, and many of my friends from high school that lost their lives, and for the millions of people that are still suffering with drug and alcohol abuse, depression and other mental health issues, I am committed to raising awareness and waking people up to the serious issues that are keeping us unwell and strive to provide solutions and facilitate healing for working to overcome.

Let’s be kind to one another. If you are struggling please reach out to a friend, family member or the National Suicide Prevention Hotline. It’s never too late, you are not alone.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We succeed when we are helping people and organizations. We serve after thoughtful prayer, working with our head and our heart. We take ownership of commitments and are generous with our resources and time. We make decisions with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and take responsibility for our actions. We believe that together, we can make a lasting impact on the world. Jenerosity is more than a philosophy, it's our way of life.

PRAYER TO BE REVIVED

The most important relationship for every one of us is our relationship with Jesus Christ. Choosing to believe that he is who he claimed to be—the Son of God and the only way to salvation—and receiving him by faith as your Lord and Savior is the most vital act anyone will ever do. We want life. He is Life. We need cleansing. He is the Living Water.

Here is a simple prayer if you have not yet given your life to Jesus, or you want to re-invite him into yours:

Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, that you died on the cross to rescue me from sin and death and to restore me to the Father. Please forgive me for my sins and my self-centeredness. I choose to turn away from every part of my life that does not please you. I choose you. I give myself to you. I receive your forgiveness and ask you to take your rightful place in my life as my Lord and Savior. Come reign in my heart, fill me with your love and your life, and help me to fulfill my kingdom destiny. Restore me, Jesus. Live in me. Love through me.

Thank you, God.
In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
